The Hungarian Parliament building is seen across the Danube River with a man sitting on the bank, in a monochrome composition. The Neo-Gothic landmark, completed in 1904, remains one of the most recognisable architectural symbols of Budapest and a focal point of the city’s riverfront.

Budapest at blue hour, when the city stops being a place and starts becoming a rhythm. This is where I bring people during workshops, not for the postcard, but for the decisions. Balancing artificial light against the last trace of sky, holding highlights on the bridges, letting the river carry the frame. It looks effortless, but it never is. This is the moment where technique either supports your vision or gets in the way. Istria has a quiet way of getting under your skin. Not just through its landscapes, the soft mornings, the light that settles gently over hills and stone towns, but through the people who give it life. It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t try to impress. It simply unfolds, slowly, honestly, in its own time. These past few days, moving from Venice into this landscape, felt like stepping into a different kind of conversation. Softer, more grounded, but just as rich. Workshops are never just about photography. They are about shared attention, about learning to see together, about those small moments that stay long after the camera is put away. I leave with a full memory card, yes. But more importantly, with a sense of gratitude. To this place. To the people. To the experience.
