My Ideal Two-Day Budapest Workshop
During spring and summer, I prefer to divide the two-day workshop into four sessions of approximately four hours each. Although this represents two full days of photography, the sessions are spread across three calendar days to make the most of Budapest’s changing light while also giving you time to rest, review what we have photographed and return to the streets with fresh eyes.
We usually begin on the afternoon of the first day, allowing us to get to know one another, discuss your photography and start exploring the city at a relaxed pace.
The second day includes two sessions. We begin early, shortly before sunrise, when Budapest is quiet and the light is at its most delicate. We then meet again later in the day for an evening session covering sunset, blue hour and a little night photography, when the city takes on an entirely different character.
Our final session takes place on the morning of the third day.
By this stage, I have a much clearer understanding of how you see, what interests you and where I can help you most in photographic terms. This last session allows us to build on everything we have covered and focus on the areas that will make the greatest difference to your photography.
I find this format far more rewarding than working for two long, uninterrupted days. It gives us the best light, a wider variety of atmosphere and enough breathing space between sessions for ideas to settle. It also allows you to experience Budapest at four very different moments, each offering its own photographic possibilities.
During late autumn and winter, when daylight hours are much shorter and sunrise and sunset fall closer together, this schedule is not always practical. In those months, I adapt the timing and structure to the season, the weather and your particular interests, while still ensuring that we make the very best use of our time together.
My Ideal Three-Day Budapest Workshop
For a three-day workshop, I usually suggest dedicating one day to exploring beyond Budapest. This brings greater variety to the experience and allows us to photograph a quieter, more traditional side of Hungary.
Depending on your interests, the weather and the season, we might visit Szentendre, with its narrow streets, colourful architecture and lively atmosphere, or travel towards Esztergom and the Danube Bend, where historic towns, riverside life and the surrounding landscape offer a completely different photographic rhythm.
The exact destination is never fixed simply for the sake of following an itinerary. We choose the place that best suits the kind of photography you enjoy and what we have already explored together in Budapest. The aim is to give you a richer and more varied body of work, combining the energy of the capital with the character, landscape and slower pace found beyond the city.

We start before dawn to capture the quiet beauty of the Danube, the Parliament reflected in the still water, and Fisherman’s Bastion glowing in soft morning tones. As the sun rises, the city slowly comes alive — trams, bridges, and early movement become part of your composition.

🌇 Sunset, Twilight & Night Photography
Experience Budapest’s transformation from golden hour to the glittering night. We shoot from viewpoints such as the Chain Bridge, Castle Hill, and Gellért Hill, where the lights of trams and cars trace the city’s rhythm. You’ll learn long exposure, balance between ambient and artificial light, and creative composition after dark.
Focus: Golden hour, blue hour, night glow, long exposure, dynamic scenes.
Ideal for: Photographers who enjoy colour, motion, and the city's energy after sunset.

Private | 8Hours in 1 Day | €900 Light, shadow, texture, atmosphere. Budapest offers one of the strongest visual stages in Europe for working in black and white. This private 10-hour masterclass is designed to refine how you see, not just how you shoot.
🏛️ Why Black & White in Budapest?
Budapest naturally lends itself to monochrome. The city is built on contrast. Grand architecture against worn textures, soft river light against deep shadows, elegant lines interrupted by raw, human moments.
From the geometry of the Parliament and bridges to the layered streets of Pest, from quiet courtyards to the movement along the Danube, everything simplifies beautifully when colour is removed.
Black and white here is not a stylistic choice. It is a way of seeing the city more clearly.

A fully private 10-hour workshop, shaped around your pace and level
We typically structure the day to follow the light, often working across morning, afternoon, and evening transitions
Budapest offers the flexibility to split the session into two parts if preferred, for example, late afternoon into night, followed by an early morning session ( add Euro 150)
This approach allows us to work with different atmospheres and maximise shooting opportunities

Booking and Deposit
To reserve your workshop dates, a deposit is required:
• €100 for shorter sessions
• €200 for multi-day or premium workshopsThe remaining balance is due 40 days before the workshop.
Flexibility and Weather
Photography depends on conditions. If weather makes the workshop genuinely unworkable, such as heavy rain, unsafe conditions or no visibility, we can stop even at the start and you will receive a full refund.
Deposits are fully refundable up to 40 days before the workshop, minus payment processing fees.
