Transylvania Photography Tour with Marco Secchi
Transylvania Photography Tour with Marco Secchi
Twice a year, small group (4 to 6 photographers), 6 to 7 days
Discover Transylvania through your lens. This workshop explores one of Europe’s most atmospheric regions, where fortified villages, hilltop churches, and working countryside create space for attentive, patient photography. Designed for photographers who value depth and authenticity, the experience balances creative freedom, guidance, and local insight.
When
The Transylvania Photography Workshop runs twice a year:
Spring edition: late April to mid May
Autumn edition: late September to mid October
Each session is 6 to 7 days, with a balanced rhythm of fieldwork, editing, conversation, and rest.
Group Size and Level
Small group, maximum 6 participants, to ensure personal mentoring and a flexible pace.
Suitable for all levels. You should be comfortable walking with light gear and working within real environments.
Accommodation and Meals
We stay in a curated selection of small heritage guesthouses and traditional rural accommodations chosen for character, privacy, and atmosphere.
Each participant has a private room with en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is included each day.
A welcome dinner on the first evening is included.
For the rest of the meals we select local restaurants and village kitchens depending on the day and light, and each participant orders according to preference.
Transport and Logistics
A private driver is with us throughout the workshop. This allows complete flexibility to follow light, stop spontaneously, and work in quieter places away from set schedules.
Photography Focus
Expect to work in the field during early mornings and evenings, with editing and sequencing sessions in the afternoons. The emphasis is on reading light, composing with intention, and developing a personal photographic voice rather than collecting postcard views.
We explore:
Visual storytelling and narrative building
Working in rural environments and small communities
Editing, project structure, and image selection
