The Christmas lights are only part of the picture. In Budapest, a passing tram, reflections on wet streets, and mist-softened buildings can give an evening photograph its character. The interesting decisions are where to stand, what to leave out and whether to hold the movement still or let it become part of the frame. I’m running photography workshops in Budapest this December. We’ll work on reading the light, finding stronger compositions and making deliberate choices as the city changes around us. These photographs hint at the possibilities, though each evening brings its own conditions and opportunities. If you’d like to join me, message me for December dates and workshop details. #budapest #leica #photograhy #workshop

Budapest at dusk has a lovely balance, when the sky still holds its blue and the city lights begin to warm the river. Through the bare branches, traffic crosses the bridge, and reflections gather on the wet streets below. Even in a familiar view, something always makes you linger. If you’d enjoy exploring Budapest with your camera and taking a little more time to notice moments like this, I’d love to have you join me for a photography workshop. You’re welcome to message me for details. #budapest #hungary #leica #photography #Workshops

Before the first daylight reaches the waterfront, Venice Carnival is already awake. A costume appears beside the gondolas; another beneath the Piazzetta lamps. Against the lagoon's blue, even a small patch of red can hold the whole photograph together. As the light changes, so do the pictures. A pale column becomes a background for orange fabric. Three masks gather behind a gondola sign, and the city becomes part of the scene rather than simply somewhere to pose. These five photographs come from different Carnivals, but the interest is the same: finding a relationship between the person, the light and Venice itself. The costume catches your attention. Where you stand determines what you make of it. My Venice Carnival 2027 workshops are almost fully booked, with limited availability remaining. If you would like to join me, you can find the details via the link in my bio. #Venice #carnival #photograhy #workshops #leica

Venice, with nobody in the frame and someone’s life just above it. The steps draw the eye towards the light, but the washing strung between the buildings gives this photograph its human presence. For me, those ordinary details often make a place worth looking at longer. That attention to what’s already there is central to my Venice photography workshops. If you’d like to explore the city with me, you’re welcome to get in touch. #venice #leica #photography #workshops
